My incantations in movies affected me in real life – Babalawo character, Alebiosu

Popular Babalawo or Ife priest character in Yoruba movies, Adewale Alebiosu has revealed that reciting some incantations in movies had some adverse effects on him in real life. Alebiosu, who spoke with BBB Yoruba, said he was just doing his job as an actor, that he never knew the incantations he was reciting could come to haunt him in real life. Alebiosu said, “I never knew there was so much more to the incantations I was delivering. I thought I was just delivering my lines, not knowing there are repercussions to follow. Whenever I get home after the act, while I sleep I would see some strange beings and some would turn to goats and start biting me.”Alebiosu warned that the coming generation who wants to play the role of a Babalawo should be very careful and be ready to be prayerful. According to him, the role requires all sorts of precautions. “I’m saying this to warn them so that they don’t end up regretting their lives or ending up miserably,” he said.

Fast-rising and street-hop artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable has welcomed his fourth child with third ‘baby mama’. The 27-year-old Sango Ota-based singer shared a picture of his baby mama’s bump and a video of the newborn on his Instagram page.  The Zazu crooner said the birth of the baby was a double celebration for him as the day marked his first anniversary in the music industry. Sit at Home:Gunmen kill four, kidnapped expertriate in

Gunmen enforcing sit-at-home on Friday evening killed four persons at two locations on Owerri-Okigwe Road in Imo State. The gunmen also kidnapped two expatriates supervising the ongoing construction of the phase 11 of the Owerri-Okigwe Road. The killings occurred at Umunachi in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of the state and at Umuna in the Onuimo LGA, respectively. The expatriates were kidnapped at Umunachi after two persons suspected to be their security aides were suspectedly brought down.The expatriates who are staff of German construction giants, Cremburg, were taken away immediately the gunmen struck. Locals told our correspondent that the fleeing suspects operated in three vehicles. ICPC frees D'banj on Self recognition

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has released popular musician, Daniel Oladapo, also known as D’Banj. D’banj’s lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, who announced the development on Friday, said the musician was released on self-recognition.the lawyer had yesterday called for the release of the singer from ICPC custody. Olajengbesi in a statement on Thursday said D’Banj who was arrested by the anti-graft agency on Tuesday, was innocent of the allegations of fund diversion trailing him regarding the social empowerment programme ‘N-Power Scheme.’This was also as he demanded that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs should make public the names of government officials allegedly involved with D’Banj in the alleged fraud.
